Entryway with Curved Staircase

Although usually not given much thought, your home’s entryway sets a tone for your entire house. As this is the first part of your home that visitors will see, careful thought should be give to the feel you want to acheive here: entryways can be warm and cosy, cool and elegant, full of drama or brimming with quirky personal details. Entryways or foyers can serve many purposes from a place to hang your coat and drop your keys when you arrive home, to more practical spaces like a mudroom where you organize shoes, backpacks, sporting equipment and such. An entryway remodel can also fix some common clutter issues in your home and, by adding beautiful lighting, cabinetry or seating, you can transform this underutilized area into part of your actual living space.  Quite a few entryway remodeling projects can be performed by a homeowner, but the addition of a built in foyer is probably best left up to a carpentry professional to get the most bang out of your investment.

On this page of RenoCompare.com, review pictures of entryways built or remodeled by other homeowners and contractors. Get ideas for your own project, or share a completed project of your own.
