The Coolest Paint Idea for a Boy’s Bedroom – Hugger Orange!?

I like Linda at www.itallstartedwithpaint.com, I get the impression that she is, like me, just a liiiiiiiittle bit crazy… or a least a big fan of “silly”! Whatever the reality, if you like to smile while getting your daily dose of remodeling inspiration then I suggest you add her blog to your reading list.

Today we’ve chosen to feature the cool interior paint work that Linda did back in 2012 for her teenage son’s room. Her son has taste, this orange is definitely way cool.

Is saying “way cool” cool anymore? I seriously doubt it.

Anyway, the bands of orange, black, white, and grey bands that go all the way around the walls work well together. We saw how well black, white, and grey tones work in this boy’s bedroom and we think that then adding one bold paint color is an ideal addition. And we really like how Linda has worked these colors into the room’s other furnishings. Click the link at the bottom of this post to see the whole project for yourself.

And while we’re talking about the best color for a boy’s room…what exactly is that orange tone. According to Linda, the paint is Dutch Boy Frivolous Berry but we’re certain that her son would agree with us that it really ought to be called Hugger Orange because that’s the kind of color you find on one of these…!

Oh yes Linda, we’re down with the kids…yikes, I did it again didn’t I?
